Green electricity

Electricity receives the predicate “green” if no CO2-emissions arise when it is produced.
To date, green electricity has typically been generated with the help of water, wind or the sun.

However, these technologies are partly dependent on climatic conditions and the time of day.
At GEP SE, green electricity is generated by recycling organic residues that arise in food production – such as molasses from the sugar industry and baking waste.

We also use the self-generated green electricity in our production facility for our own, independent energy supply. This completes a natural cycle.
